In  utter  despair  I  heard  myself  asking  him,  "Why  ....  how  is  it  Sir?  .....28.  years?  .....????" 

Then  came  the  explanation.

"Of  course  I  didn't  read  it  nor  do  the  members  of  my  family.  We  have  arranged  it  all  with  a 'Sastri  (  Pandit/ Priest )'   who  comes  to  the  house  everyday  round  the  year,  and  does  the  reading  for  us;  and  we  pay  Fees  per  month  to  the  brahmana ( sastri )  for  his  troubles"!!!!
