ISAVASYA UPANISHAD :


No Upanishad study ever starts in the old Rishis tradition without both the Master and the disciple chanting together an invocation Mantram.

This prayer-chanting concludes always by a "prayer-of -peace".

In these days of acute scepticism, wooers of materialism may wonder at and even doubt the power and strength, necessity and function of prayer in life.

If prayer be a practice in beggary, certainly it will demoralise us and make us a generation of incompetent, ineffectual beggars only; and that is most probably what we see around the globe when we observe today the religious map of the world.
